Through this project, I combined both of my worlds: Reading Education and Gifted Education. In his 2006 TEDTALK discussion, Ken Robinson shared, "Creativity is now is as important in education as literacy..." As a teacher and graduate student in both the Reading Education M.Ed. program and the Gifted certificate/endorsement program, my two worlds have collided together. Just like literacy skills are needed throughout the subject and content areas, creativity is needed too. This webpage I created aims at sharing some of the da Vinci principles from Gelb's text, problem defining exercises, and the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model to investigate and solve creative problems in our contemporary world. Moreover, I also included an introduction to creative communication as I share my vision of starting a project that involves students safely sharing student-created stories. I provided additional links to my other pages such as Twitter and Pinterest. I also included the Future Problem Solving Institute and the Odyssey of the Mind webpages to promote and inspire creative problem solving in schools. Overall, this project captures the cumulative experience of all my Creative Outcome Projects as they are all mentioned throughout my writing on the webpage.
