Creative Outcome 2 Assessments

Identifying and assessing creativity is another complex and interesting topic. Some argue that creative ability cannot be captured by assessments, but there are "accepted" strategies for evaluating creative potential. While creativity assessments are still a work in progress, there is still much to learn. A "truly" level of accuracy in predicting who has great creative potential and definitely will become a creative celebrity cannot be done (Davis, 2004, p. 230). This is why the main use of creativity assessments includes selecting creatively gifted students to participate in programs as well as improving testing to evaluate creative training and programs.
