There are TWO parts to this discussion. The first part is due on April 11th, while the final peer review is due on April 18th (NOTE THE DATE). Please review all directions carefully before completing the assignment.
Part One: Post Work-in-Progress Draft by April 11th
Post your work-in-progress draft of your video essay, series of essays or graphic novel for peer-review. Make sure you contextualize your presentation by writing a brief summary in your discussion post of your two concepts, two films, thesis statement and supporting ideas or scenes from films that you intend to analyze.
You can also address how you intend to develop your analysis and what you hope your final project will accomplish. Make sure that you have a question at the end of your summary for the class that begins a discussion.
Once you have finished your summary, upload an unlisted link to your work-in-progress video essay or attachment of your series of essays/graphic novels. Use my comments on your proposal to guide the development of your project and presentation.
- DO NOT POST "User Review" Links. They don't work. For example, don't use: "https://vimeo.com/user10320522341/review/3643225891/a78ed3efac"
- You must wait until the video has been completely processed before sharing the link here.
Note: When posting your photo, please do NOT use attachments (it won't display your photo). Instead, follow these steps:
- First, upload the image to your personal Files area in Canvas.
- (if uploading a photo from your computer) – Canvas – My files – Upload a file – Update
- Reply – Insert image (from the toolbar)
Please review some of your classmates' work-in-progress drafts in the discussion. Feel free to comment on their final projects with feedback on what the project did well and where it needs some improvement. While this is not required, your feedback can be extremely helpful to your classmates and also aid you in thinking about your own final project. Providing feedback will be viewed favorably.
Part Two: Complete Peer evaluation Download Peer evaluation of Work-in-Progress draft, Due April 18th (NOTE THE DATE)
Select one of the works-in-progress posted by your classmates below and complete a peer evaluation form. You will be evaluating a draft that hasn't been reviewed by a classmate before the discussion ends on April 18th at 11:59 p.m.
You will post your finished peer evaluation form into the discussion underneath your classmate's submission (so that they can see it) and submit to this assignment folder to receive credit.
Try to grade your peer based on the provided rubric in the peer evaluation form.
