Course Syllabus & Webcourses Site for Assigned UTA Course

It is important for you to be very familiar with the content of the syllabus and the Webcourses site for the course for which you are serving as a UTA. This will help you prepare for your initial meeting with your faculty supervisor (i.e., the instructor for the course for which you will serve as a UTA), complete Part 1 of the Faculty Expectations of Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Download Faculty Expectations of Undergraduate Teaching Assistant assignment, and be prepared to answer basic questions students might ask about various aspects of the course.

You will not have access to the Webcourses site for your UTA assignment until after you successfully complete FERPA training. For this reason, it is recommended that you contact your faculty supervisor and request a hard copy of the syllabus so you can begin to prepare for your meeting with the faculty supervisor. Once you have access to the Webcourses site, it is recommended that you review the site.
