Instructions

For your dramaturgy note, you must find 3 sources (articles, books or book chapters - no websites) on your chosen play. For help finding and citing sources, see my "Tips and Tricks" page.

For this second step of your Dramaturgy Note, you should submit 4 things:

  • Three (3) source citations of articles or books/chapters that you will use to complete your final
  • One (1) annotation of one of the three sources above.

For your citations, use Chicago format as described in the Purdue OWL website. Only books, articles, and chapters are permitted, but of course you will access them online. You can use the UCF Online library database or Amazon/Google Book Preview (if the book is viewable in that format). Absolutely no websites.

Your annotation should be 3-5 sentences long, and it should summarize one of your sources IN YOUR OWN WORDS. Do not copy and paste the abstract or first paragraph (or any part) of the source here - this is plagiarism. Read or skim the article or chapter, and summarize it briefly in your own words.

For other tips and tricks on how to succeed in your Dramaturgy Note, see this page.
