More Detailed description of how this course works:

THIS IS NOT A LECTURE CAPTURE COURSE. This class modality is called "RA" or “Reduced Seat Time Adaptive”, which means that part of the course is delivered 1.) Online and 2.) Through live “Class Activity Sessions” that you will attend throughout the semester.

1.) Online: All of the primary learning in this class will be student led through online materials that are accessed through Webcourses. In this course, you will

  • Read the textbook
  • View Videos on Webcourses.
  • Complete the homework

2.) Live “Class Activity Sessions”: you will also demonstrate your knowledge by participating live Class Activity Sessions where you will work in groups of 6-7 students to complete group exercises. Students must attend  Download class sessions

for their assigned date and time based on your registration in the class.  You must bring an internet capable device to these in class sessions as well as a calculator, scratch paper and a pen/pencil.

Make-up for missed sessions: Since a large component of the class activities is group learning, the group activity cannot be replicated; therefore, if you miss a live class activity session for any reason (excused or unexcused), there will be an alternative assignment that will consist of 25 Connect questions based on the most recent exam. You do not have the option of attending a different date and time to make up for missing your scheduled class session.

Tardy Policy: You must arrive to class and be seated by the class start time. Students arriving late will not be allowed in the classroom and will receive a zero (0) if you arrive more than 10 minutes late to class.

3.) Post-Class Activity Session Assignment – each of the live Class Activity Sessions will be followed by a pre-class assignment. These assignments are submitted individually, however, but you may work through the questions as a group.
