Establishing a feeling of community in online courses is crucial. One of the most common ways to encourage interaction is to have students introduce themselves to the rest of the class. Often, students will connect with other students they already know, but also find out things they might not have known before. As an instructor, greeting each student also shows that you are a real person, not a faceless identity behind a computer screen.
Let’s get to know one another! Please introduce yourself to your instructors and peers. You can do this by writing in the "Reply" section directly below this. If you would like to reply to other people, write in the "Reply" section below their post. Feel free to explore the options for discussion, such as inserting an image or recording an introduction with your webcam.
The connections you make now can be the start of new relationships in this course and beyond.
You will receive a "complete/incomplete" grade for this discussion.
