  1. Synthesize nursing theory with knowledge from arts and sciences to provide a framework for nursing practice.
  2. Assume responsibility for professional growth and development by establishing a working relationship with a nursing faculty member and a selected community service learning area.
  3. Use the nursing process to promote, maintain and restore health for individuals and groups from diverse and multi-cultural populations across the life span.
  4. Recognize opportunities to apply principles of leadership and management in the practice of professional nursing.
  5. Develop collaborative relationships with community service organizations and other professionals to ensure the provision of quality services to clients and/or to effect needed change in health care delivery systems.
  6. Incorporate nursing research into selected nursing practice area.
  7. Critically analyze individual professional growth, accomplishments, role transition, and career goals.
