Pick a paper from this page to read and see if you agree or disagree with their position. You may use this option as your original posting instead of addressing the case study from page 1 of this module. Ascension Health is a site maintained by a Catholic Hospital. While their postings clearly reflect the beliefs of the Catholic religion, they have very clear descriptions of many ethical principles as well as a large set of case studies on well known medical cases in which there were ethical issues. As a professional nurse, is it acceptable to adhere to precepts that are also part of a religious belief? Other organizations such as Ascension Health include the Adventist Health System and while it is no longer associated with any particular religion, Intermoutain Healthcare still functions on a major theme of charity that is a legacy of its initial hospitals' roots.
