Before beginning your exam you should:

  • log into this exam using Chrome (this is especially important for Mac users as Safari will not play nicely with ProctorHub);
  • exam REQUIRES you to use Respondus Lockdown Browser which will prevent you from opening other web browsers and/or files during the exam
  • get your UCF or government issued ID;
  • silence and stow your phone and other electronic devices;
  • close out of any other open internet windows;
  • make sure your desk is cleared, there is no major weather system moving through that could interrupt your internet service; and,
  • find a a quiet space where you can concentrate. 

Once you begin the exam, you will have 75 minutes to answer 50 multiple choice items.

  • Questions will be released one-at-a-time.
  • Once you begin the test, your time will start and cannot paused. Be sure to keep your eye on the clock and read the instructions below on what to do if you have a problem during your test. 

Remember that even if you log out (or are logged out), time will continue to count once you have begun the exam. The exam will close at exactly 11:59 PM EST on the due date listed above, whether you are finished with your attempt or not.

  • Notes and other study aids (e.g., textbook, websites, other people, etc.) are not allowed on the exam. 
  • The exam should be completed independently.
  • The exam will be completed online and proctored with ProctorHub (see below).  
  • If the academic integrity policies for this assessment are violated, a grade of 0 would be issued, a Student Conduct report will be filed.

Technical Issues

Should you experience a problem during your exam, please take a print screen of the error and contact the instructor of the course via Webcourses email immediately (to maintain exam security, documentation received more than 3 hours after the attempt will not be accepted). Only University-wide issues or documented personal Webcourses' issues which are verified with Online@UCF (tech support) will be eligible for makeups. That is, personal technology issues (lost internet connection, laptop battery dying, slow connection, etc.) will not be considered excused.

If you miss the exam altogether but can provide documentation to excuse this for majority (75%) of the availability window of this exam, you will be eligible for a makeup (see (http://catalog.ucf.edu/policies/academic-regulations#Attendance_Absences_or_Unsatisfactory_WorkLinks to an external site. for university excused absences eligible for makeups). Please be sure to send that documentation to Dr. Neal no later than 11:59 PM EST the day after the exam closes so we can make arrangements for the makeup before grades are due.
