Instructor Introduction: Shelly Wyatt

Headshot of Shelly Wyatt

Hello, and welcome to IDL6543!

My name is Shelly Wyatt, and I have the privilege to co-facilitate this semester. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself before our first synchronous connect session.

Before joining the CDL team, I taught humanities at Seminole State College, Valencia College, and DeVry University.  With the exception of spending a year at University College Dublin when I was an undergraduate, I have been a Florida girl when it comes to my college career!  I attended New College of Florida for my bachelor's degree, Rollins College for my master's, and UCF for my PhD (instructional design and technology).  After graduating from UCF in 2013, I joined the instructional design team in 2016.  My research interests include online faculty development and second language acquisition and technology.

In my time away from the office, I like to travel and enjoy cooking for my family.  My husband and I are big Disney fans so you might see us out at the parks!
