Showcase Example #1

Example of a Modules Screenshot with explanation:

I am showing a screenshot of my Week 1/Introduction module. I felt it was very important in this course, which is a historical literature course, in the Jewish Studies curriculum. It is important for the students to know who I am, my background and expertise, and how that interacts with the Tenets of Judaism. Noting the importance of how the course itself will be run is key to setting up the students for continued success by knowing what I am asking of them. By using text headers, the module in chunked into smaller areas, making it easier for students to go in and out of a module during the week and not have to "hunt" for anything. This is especially true for those using a Mobile device or cognitive learners. (Thank you to the Mobile Presentation in Week 1 for that guidance, and the accessibility videos in Week 8). I carry the use of text headers into later modules, again setting the students up for success by knowing what to look for in my course.
