Module 9 Overview

 Introduction

What did you do right? What could be better? This often-overlooked step is important as it will help you to assess and adapt your activities to ensure they are effective. Evaluation can help you identify areas for improvement and ultimately help you realize your goals more efficiently. Additionally, when you share your results about what was more and less effective, you help advance the overall environmental education at your institution. During this module explore options to evaluate your online course. During this week you will also prepare to wrap up your course BYCAs and in preparation for the Virtual Showcase and Final Course Design Review. You will have ID Consultation #4 with your Instructional Designer. This is the last required consultation for the<Replace - Course Title> be sure to schedule it if you haven't already.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

1. Identify effective evaluation strategies for improvement in online teaching and learning. 
2. Explore evaluation instruments (e.g., surveys) and identify ways to create course evaluations to solicit students' feedback
3. Review the  <Replace -  Institution Name>  standards for quality course design.
4. Recognize services and resources for research and scholarship related to digital learning.
5. Use the <Replace -  Institution Name> Quality rubric to evaluate your course design
6. Recognize how RITE services can help you with course evaluation and collaborative research projects
7. Continue development of online course materials and activities for an online course
8. Self-evaluate digital course for quality alignment and revise to meet quality course design standards.
