Tools to Promote Academic Integrity
Moving online may feel like the loss of a controlled environment. Some questions may race through your head such as, “Are my students going to cheat?" or "What can I do to stop my students from cheating?” While you will have an opportunity to review Strategies to Promote Academic Integrity in the next module, there are situations where you may need to implement scalable strategies and tools that mitigate academic integrity issues.
UCF faculty have access to the following solutions to ensure academic integrity in digital learning courses. (Please note: Some solutions are only available to specific departments/institutions. Please check with your department/institution to see if you have access.)
- Turnitin: a plagiarism review tool that provides you and your students a similarity report for the submitted assignment.
- Respondus LockDown Browser plus Monitor Links to an external site.: a custom browser that locks down the device to prevent opening other websites, copying and pasting text, and more.
- Examity: Links to an external site. an online proctoring service available to College of Nursing faculty.
