1)  Briefly summarize the author's conclusion regarding the definition of systems thinking.

2)  Briefly discuss how the author proposes to use systems thinking to support the practice of safety.

Your response should be no more than 1 to 1.5 pages long, typewritten, and single spaced in a readable font (no smaller than 10 pt).  Your summary should not consist of a "blow-by-blow" replay of the article - but a concise summary that states the primary "take away" from the article along with supporting examples from the article.  If you reference other works, provide those references in your response as well (e.g. reference to info in your text books).
