Module 2 Introduction

This week we will be taking a look at the concept of wellness. By the end of the chapter you will have a wholistic overview of the different dimensions of wellness and how to begin to make changes to improve your overall wellness.

Module Objectives

By the end of this module, what should I be able to do?

Distinguish between the different dimensions of wellness.
Evaluate your own wellness, using the survey tool provided, to assess you opportunities for improvement
Recognize health disparities issues in our country.
Be familiar with terms and concepts related to health and wellness presented in their text and be able to apply the concepts to answer related quiz and exam questions.
Design a plan for creating a personalized health plan based on the stages of change and skill development sections within their text.
Practice evaluating sources of health information as presented in the text.

Chapter 1 in our textbook: Taking Charge of Your Health

Graded Assignments

Engage in the Critical Consumer Discussion, which will contain two parts (initial post and reply). (See pg. 18 in your text.)
Take CH 1 Graded Quiz, which covers Chapters 1, and includes multiple-choice and T/F questions.
