Module 10 Summary
This concludes the Week 10 module on Power and Ideology + Video Essay Criticism. You began the module by reading the final two chapters of Filmish and learned a bit more about technophobia. You explored how filmmakers communicate ideologies through the use of specific film genres and viewed a documentary exploring ideology and representation OR an example of a revisionist western that challenged western ideology. You completed a diversity in film criticism assignment that asked you to consider non-white perspectives on film criticism and viewed a video essay on F for Fake considering the structure of video essays. Finally, you proposed your final project through a submission of a proposal and bibliography.
Get Ready for Module 11
