Module 3 Summary
In Module 3: Apparatus Theory and Plato's Allegory of the Cave, you read your first theoretical reading of the course. This reading tied cinema to the plato's allegory of the cave philosophical concept. By progressing through the module, you received instructional materials that reinforced this connection, which relates to the deepening of our film viewership techniques. You completed a quick practice game to connect elements of Plato's cave with cinema. Additionally, you watched a film that illustrated the theoretical concept and discussed it amongst your peers. Finally, you tested the comprehension of course material through your first quiz.
Get Ready For Module 4
In the next module, you'll complete your second scene analysis on set design and architecture. This activity will help you develop a unique thesis statement/argument through a screening of the Terry Gilliam film Brazil (1985). You will also learn a bit more about the mid-term essay exam in this course.
