Module #7 Lecture and More
Objectives for this week's lecture:
- Share tips and "hacks" that will make you more able to connect with others
- Ensure you are ready for the technical aspects of getting a job. We started with elevator pitches, cover letters and resumes. Now we are working to make you comfortable with networking
- You will be utilizing all these tools for your final project
What's New About This Week: This lecture series requires some note taking. There is a lot of information. When you are listening to the Podcast-like series of lectures, and thinking to yourself... "What the heck does all this have to do with Entertainment Careers?" I want you to relax and listen. Take some notes. And then think about how you interact with others and how they interact with you. Our goal, as professionals, is to figure out how to get EVERYTHING we want for our careers and our happiness. To do this, we need to understand HOW to get it all.
This week, while we continue to support your technical needs for getting a job, we are also transitioning to the next phase of our semester... What it take to get there. And when I say "there," I mean the THERE that you envision for your life. Networking is just the start.
