Each works  individually to ultimately balance the entirety.

The endocrine system is a collection of internal organs that maintain the body in hormonal balance. Although each organ functions almost entirely independently of the other endocrine organs, the sum of their individual functions work as a team to maintain the body's homeostasis. You would not be healthy if any individual member of this system failed to do its job.  For instance, if the pancreas fails to produce enough insulin, the patient would be diagnosed as a diabetic, thereby affecting all the other systems in the body.  Therefore, when it comes to the endocrine system,  the health of the patient is only as good as its "weakest link" member of the system.
