There is so much information about medications out there, sometimes it can be hard to know where or how to start looking.
In this chapter, we will start by reading about the different names and classes of drugs. Once we get a basic understanding, we can then look at the different sources of available drug information. Some information comes directly from the drug manufacturer and some drug information is published yearly in hard bound volumes. These books are often found and used by many medical offices as one of their many primary drug references. Basic drug information has also been digitized and is available on many different online platforms for the lay public, as well as professional subscription based sites with extensive drug information intended for the healthcare providers.
