Did you know paper comes in different weight categories?

Regular paper or "standard copy paper" used in laser printers is usually fairly thin and is categorized as "20 pound paper". This type of paper is typically used for office copying and college use. However, because of its thinness, there is a perception lower quality, due to its inability to handle graphics or heavy inking very well without smearing or bleeding through. Therefore, it isn't appropriate to use for professionally prepared documents, such as resumes, professional portfolios, important legal documents, etc. These types of documents require using thicker paper made of better quality components (cotton, linen, or bamboo). Paper types that are appropriate for these types of important documents are categorized as either "24 pound" or "32 pound" paper.

No hot pink or scented documents…at least not for this class.
