Presenting Your Work
Why Present Your Work?
There are many reasons to show your work, but we will boil it down to 4 major points:
1. To receive valuable feedback and critiques to make your self a better designer.
2. Sell your work.
3. Just to Share!
4. To promote yourself as a designer.
Ways To Present Your Work
Make a Portfolio Website
There are many different options out there for you to host an online portfolio. Once you have it live, don't be afraid to pass around the link! When selecting the work to put in your portfolio, select projects/ assignments that you received at least a B on. Don't flood your portfolio with tons of work (Quality over Quantity).
There are many different portfolio website builders out there! Some are free, and some are paid. Here is a brief list of some popular portfolio website builders:

Enter a Contest OR Respond to a Call to Artists
There is always a contest or Call to Artists for something somewhere. A simple google search of “Design Contest” or “Call to Artists” should come back with thousands of results. Entering a contest or call to artists is a good way to possibly earn some sort of notoriety and is a great thing to add to your resume.
Before you submit your art to any website or to any art competition, the artist should always check and see what that particular website’s Use Rights and Copyright policy is. Some websites, when they publish an artist’s art may retain not only the perpetual use of that art but in some cases, will take over the copyright of that art.

Submit to a Gallery
Submitting your work to a gallery can seem daunting, but it’s a great way to publicly show your work in a formal environment; Seeing it on display is a gratifying experience. Put some time into choosing the work you want to submit to the exhibition. If the show has a theme, make sure to stay within the theme guidelines! For most exhibition opportunities, you will be allowed to submit anywhere from three to five artworks.
