Extra Credit FAQs

How does extra credit work?

Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to complete chapter practice problems called "Did I Get It" assignments. These assignments are optional and only for practice. If a student decides not to complete any optional "Did I Get It" assignments offered, the student's grade will not be adversely affected.

However, for those students who do complete the optional "Did I Get It" assignments, those students have the opportunity to earn up to 2 points of extra credit added to their overall course grade. The 2 points of extra credit is based on 100% completion of all of the "Did I Get It" assignments.

What if I didn't complete all of the extra credit assignments that were offered?

The amount of points you receive is proportional to amount of extra credit that was completed.

For example:

If you completed 100% of the "Did I Get It" assignments, then you would get 2 points added to your overall course grade.

If you completed 50% of the "Did I Get It" assignments, then you would get 1 point added to your overall course grade.

When will the extra credit points be added to my grade?

The extra credit points will be added to your overall course grade at the end of the semester, once all other assignments have been graded.
