Introduction

Moving into the online environment can present some benefits and challenges in the realm of online course administration. Many faculty have commented that they find creating an online course takes more time than creating a face-to-face course. This can be especially true as online best practices suggest that faculty place their content materials online far ahead of the scheduled lecture date. Keep in mind that as your course begins, your job shifts from content creator to facilitator. As you will see, there is increased student interaction and engagement with course content, activities, and assessments than in the face-to-face environment.

This weekly content section provides strategies and time savers to help prepare you to face some of the typical situations that may arise in the online environment.
