Internships: An internship is an academic course that provides one semester of paid or unpaid, major-career-related real-world experience. Credit is available depending on a student’s academic program.

Cooperative Education (Co-op): An academic program that allows students to apply classroom theory in practical work settings and gain personal, academic and work skills over multiple semesters. Cooperative education at UCF is one of the largest programs in the country and assists more students in more disciplines and colleges than any other university in Florida.

Service-learning: A reciprocal process that involves faculty, students, and the community. Faculty members reinvigorate teaching by engaging students in academic and social concerns. Students connect theory to practice and foster civic responsibility by developing a relationship with like-minded community partners.
